Annual gross electricity production and total electric-power consumption for the Sultanate of Oman in gigawatt-hours, from NCSI's Electricity dataset on data.gov.om (upstream: the Electricity Regulatory Authority, now the Authority for Public Services Regulation). Production is the source's "(Total production of electricity (GW/H)" — all generation from every power plant in the country, before the plants' own consumption is deducted; the source's separate "Net production of electricity (GW/H)" series is that figure after the deduction and is not published here, so these numbers are gross, which is what the title says. Consumption is "Consm. of Electric Power (GW/H)", the total across the residential, commercial, industrial, government and other categories the source breaks it into. Values are gigawatt-hours exactly as published (declared unit "Gw/H", scale 1) — no scale factor is applied, and a change of either declaration raises rather than silently shifting every number. Consumption runs from 2002 but production only from 2004, and years missing either series are dropped rather than published with gaps, so the table starts at 2004; 2002 and 2003 consumption exist upstream if you need them. Cadence is annual on purpose: the source does carry a monthly production series (2014-01 to 2024-12, and its monthly sums match the annual figures only from 2023 onwards), but it publishes no monthly consumption at all and the monthly production lags the annual series by a full year, so no monthly table could carry both columns. National totals only — the source's breakdowns by governorate, by named power station (~105 of them), by network and by consumption category are out of scope for v1, and the query pins the region and station dimensions to their total members because the unfiltered cube returns 129 series instead of 2. Same caveat as the tourism dataset regarding the portal's public client_id. NCSI restates recent years as the regulator's returns are finalised, so the newest year should be read as provisional.
