Annual headline oil and gas figures for the Sultanate of Oman, from NCSI's Oil and Gas dataset on data.gov.om; the cube names its upstream source the Ministry of Oil and Gas. Four columns in three different units, each exactly as the source publishes it. crude_production_kbbl_day and crude_exports_kbbl_day are the source's "Average daily production of crude oil" and "Average Daily Exports of Crude Oil." (the trailing period is the source's) — the average daily rate over the year, in thousands of barrels per day, declared unit "(000) BBL" at scale 1; 1,048.7 for 2023 means about 1.05 million barrels a day. crude_price_usd_bbl is "Average Price of Crude Oil" in US dollars per barrel, which the source defines as the average daily settlement price of the contracts for the sale of Oman oil on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange. gas_production_mn_scf is "Total Production of Natural Gas" — which the source spells with doubled spaces on either side of "Natural"; the pipeline selects the series by member id and matches its name with whitespace collapsed, so the odd spelling is recorded but not relied on — in million standard cubic feet, and it is a total for the whole year, not a daily rate: the source names the two oil series "Average daily ..." and this one "Total Production of ...", 1,908,026.7 million standard cubic feet in a single day would be far beyond any national output, and the source's own monthly series for this indicator — which publishes monthly totals in million cubic metres, and was read live on 2026-08-05 — sums to within 0.2% of these annual figures once converted, in every complete year checked (2021-2024). Note that the cube's own indicator-level metadata contradicts itself on that unit, calling it "cubic meter" in English and cubic foot in Arabic; the series-level declaration "MNSCF" is the one checked here, and the arithmetic above is what settles it. Every unit and scale declaration is pinned per indicator, and a change raises rather than quietly shifting a column, because the column names would then be lies. The table runs 2002-2023. Natural gas is published further ahead than the oil series — 2024 (2,000,638.4) and 2025 (2,018,799.2) exist upstream — but years missing any of the four series are dropped rather than published with gaps, so those two years are not here; take them from the source if you need gas alone. Cadence is annual on purpose rather than for want of a monthly feed: the monthly series are unusable for three of these four columns. Monthly crude production runs 2014-01 to 2026-06 under a single declared unit "BBL(000)" and changes regime mid-series without declaring it, opening at 958,700 and closing at 1,145.7; monthly gas does the same far more violently under "MNCM", 107,139,700,000 in 2014-01 against 5,405.5 in 2026-05; monthly exports only begin in 2023-01. Only the monthly price series is clean. Those monthly figures were read live from the portal on 2026-08-05 and are not part of the annual snapshot archived with this dataset. National headline series only — the cube's other 39 indicators and its breakdowns by refinery, petroleum product, oil-producing company, mineral type, gas use and export destination are out of scope, and the six dimensions the query leaves unfiltered are checked on every row to be on their aggregate member (which this source names variously "Total", "Total Refinery & Petroleum IndustriesCo" and "Total Gas Uses"), so a breakdown leaking in raises instead of being published as the national figure. Same caveat as the tourism dataset regarding the portal's public client_id. NCSI revises recent years as the ministry's returns are finalised, so the newest year should be read as provisional.
